Dream Books Co., a neighborhood used bookstore, had built its brand incrementally over the years. Without a strong visual position or clear art direction guidelines, the brand became fragmented across assets and styles, resulting in a lack of cohesion across all communications.
Research revealed that used bookstore brands often feel impersonal and sterile. To deliver a real used bookstore experience, we drew inspiration from well-loved books, page annotations, and marginal notes, creating a system using texture, custom illustration, and stamps.
A character-driven identity that brought warmth back to Dream Books, spanning logo, illustration, typography, stamps, and collateral. The system functions seamlessly across physical and digital touchpoints.
